When it comes to collecting, there probably are two types of people in the world. Those that collect, and those that don’t. I am a collector (or hoarder). Looking at the examples above, it makes me wonder, in the new socially networked web, if there isn’t a service that could be offered to those who want to publish their own collection online; and to join these disparate collections together. What do you think?

It seems particularly interesting for such a network to emerge. Collecting is not a very sociable activity, in fact it's often a deeply personal one. Finding a like-minded 'pebbles that look like Gerard Depardieu's nose' collector, however, must be a rather rewarding experience.
