There are two kinds of people in the world - those that believe that there are two types of people in the world, and those that don’t. When it comes to collecting, there probably are two types of people in the world. Those that collect, and those that don’t. I am a collector (or hoarder). Looking at the examples above, it makes me wonder, in the new socially networked web, if there isn’t a service that could be offered to those who want to publish their own collection online; and to join these disparate collections together. What do you think?

It seems particularly interesting for such a network to emerge. Collecting is not a very sociable activity, in fact it's often a deeply personal one. Finding a like-minded 'pebbles that look like Gerard Depardieu's nose' collector, however, must be a rather rewarding experience.
