Cogapp joins dynamic companies group
May 2003Cogapp has been selected by the Hub 100 group as one of the most dynamic companies in the city of Brighton and Hove.
Launched in September 2002, the Hub 100 project is creating a network to promote growth and success among the hundred most significant companies in Brighton and Hove. The overarching aim is to benefit the companies by raising their value through higher revenues and outside investment, and thus strengthen the citys local economy.
The project started with a database of 2,500 companies from the 12,000 or so operating in the wider Brighton and Hove area stretching along the coast from Shoreham to Newhaven and inland to Lewes. Companies are carefully selected using a rigorous matrix comprising data analysis, an assessment questionnaire, site visits and validation by chartered accountants Baker Tilly.
The network operates both off and online, through events and meetings as well as through a web site at www.thehub100.com.
Companies selected so far include: building contractors, Adenstar Group; Custom Pharmaceuticals; internet service provider, Mistral; Skint Records; and bar and pub chain Zelgrain.
The Hub 100 has been set up with funding from SEEDA and the Brighton & Hove Regeneration Partnership and is supported by Brighton & Hove City Council, and a wide range of other local agencies, local companies and business leaders.
