Science Museum visitors create 400,000 web sites

June 2003

A phenomenal 400,000 personal web sites have been created by visitors to the Science Museum since Cogapp's InTouch system was installed in the Wellcome Wing in May 2000.

The InTouch computer network links many of the exhibits in the Wing, allowing visitors to "save" images, sounds and information and access them via fingerprint recognition pads. Additionally, visitors can later retrieve them from the museum's web site and use the "Design Your Own Web Page" system to customise their pages.
