• Kidney Patient Guide chosen as "a key provider of information" by NHS Choices

NHS Choices, the new information source developed to assist people in making informed choices about their own health, has selected Kidney Patient Guide as a key source of information in its sector.  

Kidney Patient Guide, launched in 1999 and maintained by Cogapp on a pro-bono basis for the last eight years, serves hundreds of thousands of people each year whose lives are affected by kidney disease.  There are more than 1,000 subscribers to the bulletin board, which is moderated by an active team of volunteers.  It is hoped that the link from NHS Choices will raise additional awareness of this highly valued resource.

A team from Cogapp did their bit to raise awareness of the site, and raise funds for Kidney Research UK, recently by walking eight of the most famous bridges of London.  Despite torrential rain, and it being Sunday morning, the mood was buoyant and over £400 was raised in sponsorship in addition to Cogapp’s company donation of over £500.
