Cogapp sponsoring BarCamp Brighton

February 2008

Cogapp is proud to report it will be sponsoring the forthcoming BarCamp Brighton, taking place on the weekend of 15-16th March at the University of Sussex. It looks set to repeat the success of the last one, held in September 2007, with more than twice as many attendees registered this time round. Although only the second to be hosted in Brighton, BarCamp is an international network of 'unconferences', or user-generated conferences, with events held in over 30 cities since the idea was initiated in California in 2005.

Last year our very own Tristan Roddis attended, giving a well-received talk on QR codes. He documented his experience on our blog. This year Pete Gale and Mat Walker will be there, so do say hello.

Jay Gooby of Barcamp Brighton said: "We’re really pleased to announce another local sponsor. Digital design and production consultancy Cogapp are sponsoring breakfast on Sunday 16th March. Cogapp have a history of supporting local events; they were to be found at dConstruct 2007, reviewing portfolios at the Brighton Digital Festival and hacking away during the Farm Hack Day so we’re flattered that they’ve found the time to help us too."
