Over the Air with Tristan Roddis

April 2008

Tristan Roddis, Cogapp's Head of Web Development, will be running a workshop at Mobile Monday London's Over the Air event, which begins this Friday 4th April. Taking place at Imperial College in London, the event is described as '48 hours of mobile and wireless development by and for the leading lights in the industry'. With a busy schedule that sees Tristan amongst speakers from the likes of Google, Microsoft, Sun and the W3C, it looks set to be a fascinating, if rather hectic, two days.

Tristan will be introducing Arduino, the open-source electronic prototyping platform. Participants will learn how to make electronic devices that sense and respond to the real world, either as standalone systems or networked via a computer. In keeping with the event's wireless focus, he'll also be demonstrating how to communicate with the devices over the air by using the Bluetooth Arduino.

If you are attending the event be sure to catch the workshop. If not, do look out for a future blog post from Tristan explaining all.
