Pete Gale is invited panellist at Positive Experiences in Healthcare event

November 2007

On November 8th, LBi’s main London office played host to an event marking World Usability Day in conjunction with the Usability Professionals Association.

Exploring vital issues in Healthcare User Experience design, the event brought together some of the leaders in the industry to share their stories, understanding and insights with healthcare professionals, user experience specialists in healthcare, and also those working within related industries.

Pete Gale, Cogapp’s Head of User Experience, was invited to participate in a panel entitled ‘Openness of information and communities in Healthcare’. Among other issues, the panel discussed the ways in which the Internet can or should offer healthcare information to the public. Pete made a case for the adoption of a broader approach to delivering health information, drawing lessons from healthcare communities such as Cogapp’s own Kidney Patient Guide and focusing on achieving real world patient outcomes rather than simply conveying information.

To support World Usability Day, Cogapp is offering a limited number of free usability taster sessions. For more information please contact Pete Gale or Dan Nixon.
