MoMA.guide
Museum of Modern Art, New York
In 2006, Cogapp started work on MoMA.guide, an interactive computer-based public access kiosk system that would guide visitors in their experience of MoMA. The brief for MoMA.guide called for bringing together different kinds of content from different back-end systems (collection, calendar, interactive features), incorporating material generated previously for other purposes, and allowing development to be spread between groups in Brighton and New York. The system would also allow future content and modules to be developed and added easily, with the potential to take advantage of future technologies and possibilities for external interfacing.
Our Role
We took the project from conception through consultancy, design, build and, finally, installation. During the initial design phase Cogapp worked closely with Malcolm Garrett, Creative Director of AIG.
