Alex Bridge ~ Senior Web Developer

Alex is a senior web developer, with substantial experience producing database-driven websites using PHP, SQL, Java, C++, ASP and ActionScript. A specialist in Content Management Systems, his role has more recently involved the development of custom extensions to open-source systems such as Plone and Drupal.

His experience of Plone was utilised on a number of projects for the University of Brighton, developing the system for the specific needs of their Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning Through Design, Centre for Research and Development, and Centre for Research in Innovation Management. He has also worked on numerous other projects for such clients as Culture Online, the British Museum and Good Schools Guide International.

He graduated from Exeter University with a BSc in Computer Science in 2000, and from Sussex University with an MSc in Evolutionary and Adaptive Systems in 2001. He attended the Plone Conference in Naples in October 2007, and continues to build upon his knowledge wherever possible.

Previous to joining Cogapp in Summer 2005, Alex worked briefly as a Flash programmer, and then as a web developer for clients including BSkyB and International Save The Children Alliance.

When not at work Alex plays Go, watches films in languages he doesn't speak, and occasionally writes short stories.
