What We Do
Content Management
Cogapp has been wrestling with issues of content management and workflow on large, high-quality publications for almost twenty years - originally for kiosks, then also for electronic publications, and subsequently also for websites.
We do not have a single approach to Content Management; instead we have a wealth of tools and experience that we bring to each project. Our approach has ranged from establishing a simple process making use of existing software, to building ground-up multi-lingual content management and workflow systems.
We currently make extensive use of Plone, an open-source system for content management that we have used to build custom systems for clients ranging from quite simple websites up to projects such as ICONS [www.icons.org.uk],
We also have a tool, CEF, which we developed ourselves for simple and small sites, and which has proved an effective and popular solution for a number of clients (it is the system we use for this site.)
We have some experience working with and looking at on our clients' behalf a number of commercial content management products, such as Teamsite, Percussion Rhythmyx, KnowledgeBase, MediaSurface, and others.
