Dan Nixon ~ Business Development Co-ordinator
Dan's role as New Business Development Co-ordinator spans marketing, promotion and liaising with potential clients. Working closely with Cogapp's management group, Dan is focussed on generating new opportunities by expanding the range of sectors the company operates in. He's often the first point of contact for new clients, and he organises taster sessions and meetings between the company and potential partners.
Since joining in May 2007 Dan has worked on the promotional presence for Cogapp at several events, including dConstruct and Hack Day, as well as successfully launching Cogapp's external blog.
Dan Nixon graduated with a first class degree in Film and Television from the University of Westminster in 2002. After University he worked for the Data Infrastructure department of EDF's Networks division before returning to Brighton in 2004 to work as a producer at the small feature film company Pull Back Camera. His work there culminated in the selection of one of his films for the Cannes Film Festival '05.
He spends far too much of his spare time promoting esoteric music nights in and around Brighton. He still finds time to dabble in video production for various worthy causes.
