How We Work
Project Management
Our approach to project management is based on our experience of developing successful interactive software and web projects for over twenty years. Our aim is always to produce beautiful and innovative projects that work for our clients and enrich the lives of their intended audiences.
We work in partnership with our clients to ensure that all projects are completed within the agreed timescale and budget.
By assigning milestone dates for intermediate deliveries against which progress is monitored, we are able to provide a tight project management system, which allows us to continually keep to project deadlines.
We use an on-line bug-tracking system which we make available to all our clients, resulting in fully centralised quality control across all our projects.
We use Microsoft Project and compatible tools for project planning. We practice budget, time and risk management to make sure that our projects are delivered on time and on budget. Our approach is informed by Prince 2 and similar systems for project management.
Our programming and planning systems are maintained and revised accordingly as the project proceeds. Our main tool for project control is our time report and project management system. This is an dynamic, extranet-based system that allows the project manager and team members access to:
- project details, time scale and deliverable dates
- project team members - with appropriate rates for different tasks
- time report details for each team member broken down by area and task as necessary
- project financial information including:
- total hours recorded and corresponding costs
- detailed expense records for the project
- purchase order details
- invoice details
