Stephen Norris ~ Programmer

Steve joined Cogapp on a one year Internship in late 2005, before joining permanently in Spring 2006. As a Programmer he is involved in creating and maintaining code that affects the functionality of websites, such as database interaction and interactive features. He also works on the in-house tools we use for technical development.

He has worked extensively on projects for the National Portrait Gallery, including the development of an online entry system for the BP Portrait Award and Photographic Portrait Prize, and the redevelopment of interactive kiosks housed in the gallery. He has also worked on projects for the Sheffield Museums and Galleries Trust, building an oral history project featuring a Google Maps driven centrepiece, and the Cleveland Museum of Art, amongst others.

He has an MA in Digital Media, gaining a Distinction whilst working as a database administrator at the University of Sussex. He also has a BSc in Multimedia and Digital Engineering.

In his spare time Steve enjoys free sports such as mountain biking and skateboarding.
