The Magical Worlds of Joseph Cornell
Voyager Foundation

Free from the constraints of many large cultural projects, we were given the freedom to develop a truly unique interactive experience, drawing on a remarkable body of material.

Along with over 250 works by Cornell, the DVD includes in-depth explorations of objects with animation, and video; audio and video interviews with those who knew Cornell; all his films; over 200 items of source material from the Joseph Cornell Study Center, Smithsonian American Art Museum, Washington, DC - most previously unpublished, and insights into Cornell's world through a timeline of his life, family photos, papers, books, and music.

The DVD-ROM is available with an accompanying book 'Joseph Cornell: Shadowplay...Eterniday' from Amazon.com.

Following the remarkable success of the project, we went on to work with the Voyager Foundation on the 'Magical Films of Joseph Cornell' DVD

What They Said

With its unprecedented access to artworks normally confined in glass vitrines, we may well be looking at the art book of the future.
(Washington Post, November 2003)

Cogapp has created an astoundingly beautiful and wonderful user-friendly DVD-ROM on the work of Joseph Cornell. Their art direction has been imaginative and their implementation has been exceptional. Working with them has been a pleasure and we have realized this project beyond what I had imagined.
(Robert Lehrman, Voyager Foundation)
