Man-U-Net
Manchester United Museum

Working closely with rwdp and Manchester United we defined the project including production of a concept for the Man-U-Net, the definitive digital repository for everything Manchester United.

We then went on to:
Create the data repository
Assemble the database of match statistics. This involved going back to the original 19th century official records at the Football League archives in Lytham St Annes.
Assemble the picture library - 1000s of picture
Assemble the video archive including licensed footage from 3rd party sources going all the way back to the 1930s
Find and license a biographical dictionary for the players
Create a timeline
Build and hand-off tools that enable MUFC to maintain the databases and set up arrangements for regular updates of the media assets

By the time the new museum was opened by Pele in April 1998 we had delivered a range of interactives and AV pieces including the Man-U-Net, a virtual tour of the stadium, a history of Old Trafford, a piece about injuries and how they are treated, a fan zone vox pop, two video pieces and a spectacular multi-player quiz.
