Alex Morrison speaks at 'Communicating the Museum' Conference

Alex Morrison was recently invited to present at the ‘Communicating the Museum' Conference in Madrid.

Taking the theme of ‘New media for new audiences: how to reach wider audiences and improve the visitor experience’, the conference’s aim was to give an overview of how trends in new media and the changing expectations of an internet generation present new challenges for museums, both in terms of reaching audiences and enriching their experience of art and culture.

Alex described how Cogapp took the brief for an online collection project and reframed ICONS as a public call to action, using PR and a system of lightweight alliances to enhance the campaign.  He went on to describe the successes achieved and summarised the lessons learnt.
