Cogapp working with the Social Care Institute for Excellence
February 2008
Cogapp is delighted to announce it will be working with the Social Care Institute for Excellence (SCIE) to develop two new topics for its expanding e-learning offering. The Institute was established by the Government in 2001 to improve social care services for adults and children in the UK. The two topics, each divided into three learning objects, are titled 'Children of prisoners' and 'Working with challenging and disruptive situations in residential care'.
Subject matter experts will be providing information for each topic to be developed collaboratively with SCIE. As the creative partner, Cogapp will be seeking a unified design solution to fit with the Institute's current branding. Members of both Cogapp and the SCIE teams will be working closely together throughout the course of the project.
Colin Paton, E-learning Project Manager at SCIE, said:
"These two topic areas are of key significance and yet there seems to be a lack of good resources available for social care practitioners. SCIE hopes that its collaboration with Cogapp in this area will result in a series of practical and engaging e-learning resources that fully exploit the potential for creativity this medium offers. SCIE also hopes that these resources will meet the training and learning needs of practitioners engaging with these areas as a part of their daily work."
Beginning immediately, the project is due to go live in Summer 2008.
