Icons Web Site Goes Live
July 2005

We are delighted to announce that the Icons web site is now live and open for nominations, comments and contributions. Initial response from visitors has been overwhelmingly positive. A much richer version of the site, incorporating in-depth material about our first batch of icons, will be launched later this year.

The technology for the site has been developed using Plone, the leading open-source content management system.

Icons is commissioned by Culture Online, a part of the Department of Culture, Media and Sport.
