Interactive Media Award for Home Office website
September 2007

The Home Office website has won the ‘Best in Class’ award, the highest honour bestowed by the Interactive Media Awards.  Representing the best in planning, execution and overall professionalism, sites that win this award level have to achieve very high marks in design, content, feature functionality, usability and standards compliance.

Following on from a successful competitive tender, Cogapp worked with Web Usability Partnership to develop a user-driven information architecture (IA) that met user goals and satisfied the Home Office’s business needs as part of their wider web re-development programme.

The site had previously been recognised as a ‘clear winner’ in a survey of key government sites.

Emma Charles of the Home Office commented: ‘It’s good to see all the hard work that went  into putting the site together being recognised in a major international award such as this’.
