Joe Baskerville speaking at iDesign 09
September 2009

Joe Baskerville

Cogapp's Head of New Technology, Joe Baskerville, will be speaking at this year's iDesign conference on Thursday 24th September.

iDesign is a one day event for those interested in interactive design and digital arts. As part of the London Design Festival, it draws participants from the world of design, technology and digital media together to discuss the affect immersive design has on our lives.

This year's theme will be to examine the question, 'is it real?'. Speakers and attendees will be analysing the way in which the physical and virtual worlds are drawing ever closer to one another. Joe will be joining several other notable speakers on the day to constitute what will be an entertaining and rewarding line-up.

As Cogapp's Head of New Technology, Joe spearheads our forays into the digital unknown, exploring new interfaces, digital media and technologies. His talk will be on our experiments with Computer Vision and is set to be a fascinating insight into Joe's mind and the Cogapp ethos.

Joe will not be the only Cogapp face at iDesign. Several other team members will also be there, including Design Director Colin Jenkinson. They will be present at the portfolio clinic that is being held on the day, on hand to offer advice and guidance to those looking to get a foothold in the industry. This clinic has been set up for attendees to come along and get the opinions of design and media professionals about their work, with the hope that they will then use the recommendations of experts to improve their prospects of finding employment.
