Kidney Patient Guide nominated for Fresh Digital award
September 2009
The Kidney Patient Guide, a discussion forum and information hub for sufferers of kidney diseases and their families, has been nominated for a Fresh Digital award in the Not for Profit sector.
The KPG has been running for 10 years now, maintained pro bono throughout its lifespan by Cogapp. It serves as a central port of call for everything about kidney disease, its effects, methods of treatment and a great deal more information that those affected by kidney trouble might find useful. There is also a forum on the site where people can share experiences, feelings and other information they might like to with other sufferers and those close to them.
The Fresh Digital and Media Awards - in association with Campaign and MediaWeek magazines - acknowledge the most innovative and impressive projects from the digital and media worlds, and KPG has been nominated for a Freshest Not for Profit award. Nominees for this award need to be able to demonstrate a real impact on the audience with which they interact. As such, the nomination is a recognition of the KPG's usefulness and prevalence throughout the kidney patient community, and is an indication of how important it is to visitors and forum members.
Cogapp recently overhauled the appearance of the KPG to modernise it and give the site more impact and vigour . An improved navigation system was implemented and an all new design was created to make the site more engaging for the audience. This design refresh will help KPG remain as prominent a source of help for patients and their families going into the future as it has been up to now.
