National Portrait Gallery website wins Outstanding Achievement award
July 2009
The National Portrait Gallery's website has been recognised as an "Outstanding Achievement" in the Arts/Culture category of the 2009 Interactive Media Awards. The website, designed and developed by Cogapp working with the NPG team and re-launched in February 2009, is a clean, contemporary site that places the gallery's exquisite collection at the front and centre.
After being assessed across the Interactive Media Award's 5 criteria (Design, Content, Feature Functionality, Usability and Standards Compliance & Cross-Browser Compatibility), the judges deemed that the NPG website merited the Outstanding Achievement Award - being particularly impressed with the content of the site.
Cogapp achieved the same accolade in the Military category of the IMAs for ParaData, a digital archive of the history of the Parachute Regiment and Airborne Forces, earlier this year.
