TiLEzone London to feature presentation by Joe Baskerville
February 2010
Joe, our Head of New Technology, will be speaking at the TiLEzone seminar in London on 25th February.
TiLE (which stands for Trends in Leisure and Entertainment) stage gatherings for professionals from venues that engage, entertain, inform and educate to get together and hear about emerging trends and technology in their industry. These gatherings, called TiLEzones, feature speeches and presentations from prominent industry members and innovators around the theme of that year's particular conference. This year's seminar, on 'Enhancing the Leisure Experience,' will feature presentations by Steve Simons, Owner & Executive Creative Director of Event Communications, Blair Parkin, Managing Director at Visual Acuity and Tony Sefton, Founder of Vision XS Ltd.
Joe will be joining this roster, speaking on emerging technologies and visitor engagement in his talk titled, 'From giant eyes to tiny guides.' He will be talking about how museums often lead the way with regards to exposing the public to new technologies, from the now familiar touchscreens and 3D images to new platforms like intricate handheld guides and augmented reality. His presentation will also encompass information about a variety of projects we've been working on for a variety of organisations, ranging from corporate clients such as Prudential plc to national cultural institutions such as the National Portrait Gallery in London.
This year's seminar will be the 5th annual TiLEzone London and will be held at the London Transport Museum in February. Prior to this, we will also be attending the BBC Online Supplier Showcase on Monday 15th February. This event will see suppliers of digital services to the BBC coming together and displaying their design work to key BBC stakeholders.
