CRD Identity & Website

About the Project

The Centre for Research and Development (CRD) supports staff research and collaborative research projects in the Faculty of Arts and Architecture at the University of Brighton. Their existing brand and web presence was not effectively serving their needs, such as allowing them to showcase the wide-ranging research they facilitate.

We refreshed their brand and logo, and built an entirely new website. We handled the new identity sensitively, working to create something striking and imaginative that would not detract when used in conjunction with the artistic research outputs the department oversees. We worked collaboratively with their team, taking an agile approach that saw ideas reviewed and adapted repeatedly, in quick succession in the lead up to the development stage. A brand styleguide and fully-featured new Plone website were delivered in November 2007.

Accolades

"Working with Cogapp has been a highly beneficial experience. We learnt, through observation of user testing, just what was missing from our old website and have been provided with an excellent, original and efficient design solution that signals the imaginative research ethos we required."
