Ben Aquilina / Senior Designer

As Senior Designer, Ben frequently takes a lead role in meeting the design requirements for Cogapp's projects. Bringing ten years of experience in interactive and print-based design with him, this can include everything from workshops and design strategy to template design and styleguide creation. He has particular expertise in conceiving and delivering brands and identities for organisations, or extending and enhancing existing brands to better serve their needs.

Ben was lead designer on the full scale redevelopment of the National Portrait Gallery's website, a large project delivered in early 2009. He also took the lead role redesigning the Jewish Museum's website, a major upgrade for the New York museum completed in late 2008. Other key work includes consultancy and phased strategy design work for the National Archives, leading identity work for an Arts Council campaign website, and designing an interactive for the Great North Museum in Newcastle.

Ben graduated from Bath University with a BA Hons in Graphic Design. Prior to joining Cogapp he worked in a broad base of disciplines from music packaging to brand positioning. Key achievements include leading a team of designers on re-branding West Dean art college and developing the brand for Rapha Racing, an online premium cycle clothing company.

Ben is a member of D&AD and the Typographic Circle.
