Tristan Roddis / Head of Web Development
Tristan oversees the technical development of the majority of our web projects. As well as managing other people in the web team, he helps to write the code for the large variety of database-backed websites that we create. He mainly focuses on the back-end development, and frequently provides consultancy to clients during specification and ongoing project discussions.
He has worked on a wide variety of projects since joining Cogapp in 2004. These include online collections systems for museums such as the National Portrait Gallery, MoMA and the Cleveland Museum of Art as well as content-managed web sites for ICONS, ParaData and the Good Schools Guide International.
He is intimately acquainted with several types of database and operating system, and speaks a variety of server-side programming languages (including PHP, Python, Ruby, Java, VB, Perl). His knowledge includes an extensive understanding of the Plone content management system, enriched by his participation in Plone conferences in Austria and a collaborative-coding session in Italy.
Tristan is a member of the UK Unix Users Group (UKUUG) and an occasional contributor to the Brighton New Media list.
