The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame invited us to redevelop their website in time for the Republican National Convention which took place in the birthplace of rock & roll: Cleveland.

Inductee explorer

An illustrated digital compendium of every Rock Hall Inductee, including biographies, images and opinion pieces, alongside flexibility to add more content - including video - as it becomes available.

Responsive design

The site is fully responsive, offering a beautiful and consistent experience across mobile, tablet and desktop.

Completely on brand

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame are undertaking a major museum revamp over the coming years, kicking off with new branding. The website was an early high-profile implementation of that branding, which we delivered in partnership with our design partners CHIPS.

Accessible

The Rock Hall site now meets both WCAG AA and Section 508 accessibility standards, delivering the story of rock to all users.

Social media integration

Enhanced social sharing using Twittercards and Facebook Opengraph on every page.

Flexible content management

The content management system is Drupal. We implemented a flexible template across the site that can be used to display content in a myriad of ways. Easy for content editors to learn without the user-facing website looking templated.

Events calendar

A browsable calendar of events, linking to detail and ticket-purchasing.

Onward journeys

The system makes it very easy to add links - with images and consistent styling - throughout the site.

Highly performant and resilient

rockhall.com is a high-traffic site every day of the year, with a significant increase around induction announcements and the yearly ceremony. We’ve built the site and supporting infrastructure to cope with this - and more!

Platform for growth

This launch is phase one of the Rock Hall digital presence. We will continue to work together to enhance the site, and to build upon the solid infrastructure that underpins it.

Support to self-sustainabilty

Following 18 months of collaborative enhancements and support after launch, we worked with Rock Hall to transition maintenance of the site to their in-house team.
