The Cleveland Museum of Art (CMA), one of the major US art museums with a fabulous collection across many areas, has a large web site which had been developed in many different ways and styles over a number of years. To represent its collection, there were only some hand-constructed pages describing a handful of highlights. In early 2001, CMA commissioned Cogapp to perform an initial makeover of its site, bringing all the pages into a unified structure and begining to apply a consistent style and navigation across the site. At the same time, we were asked to create a more substantial online representation of their collection.
